Inspirations for the film & Artistic Influences

We were inspired by the film 'The Lovely Bones' as we liked the storyline and the plot: A girl was murdered and the film follows her as she watches over her family and her killer from heaven.
We are going to try and implement this use of fantasy element in our production but instead use it to create enigma, so the audience do not realise the death until the end of the film.

We are going to use the idea of beginning the film with a close up of a book. When it opens the story begins. As our character writes in the book about events that have happened, the book zooms in to a scene and they
come to life.

Another piece in which we took inspiration from was, 'Citizen Kane', a 1941 drama film starring Orson Welles. This uses the same concept of flashbacks we plan to use in our production.
